Creator software platform Komi raises £4m

Komi

Komi, a software platform designed for creators, has received $5m (£4.1m) in a seed funding round led by Contour Venture Partners.

Creators can customise their profile on Komi’s platform with various items such as their social media pages, merchandise, tour dates and view analytics.

Well-known celebrities on the platform include Lizzo, Idris Elba, Addison Rae, Matthew McConaughey, Elton John and Usher.

Lewis Crosbie, CEO, Komi, said: “Millions of individuals across the world generate revenue from their online profile, but many lack the digital tool-set they need.

“Komi are working closely with the world’s top creators and their teams to build the ‘all-in-one’ product suite needed to build a deeper, direct and more rewarding relationship with their audience.”

Komi is based in London and has an additional office in California.

Jordan Schwarzenberger, manager of Sideman, said: “Komi’s product is second to none in the market and they’ve been able to produce an incredibly adaptive and engaging product which provides so much value to creators.”

Red Light Music Management and Get Engaged Media also participated in the seed round.

Angel investors in the company include footballer Mario Gotze, Victoria Secrets model Taylor Hill, Mumford & Sons’ Ben Lovett and Spotify director Sven Ahrens.

Its platform is currently invite-only, with plans to open up next year.
